You may need to configure your WiFi in another way in case you have lost your LG remote or have yet to connect your LG smart TV to the internet.
In order to achieve my goal, I utilized a cheap and fast solution.
How to Connect LG TV to WiFi without Remote
You can use a USB mouse to connect to the internet on your LG TV without a remote control. The first step is to plug your mouse into the USB port of your LG TV in order to enable Input. After that, you’ll want to press the small button below the LG TV logo on the underside. Connect with your mouse. check also Samsung Q80T vs Q90T
Connecting to WiFi with a USB mouse
You can connect your mouse to your LG TV when it is set to input:
- Before clicking the “Live TV” menu, wait until it has closed.
- As soon as you’re on the television screen, click the “Recommended” button to the right.
- The message “Network Disconnected.” will appear. Click “Yes”.
- In order to access the Network settings, you must enter your WiFi network details.
Smartphones can now be used as remote controls
If you use the USB mouse with your LG TV, you can use your smartphone as a remote control once you connect to the TV’s WiFi network.
As our TVs cannot be connected to the internet until our smartphones are used, we had to use our USB mice in the beginning.
In case your TV and smartphone are connected to the same WiFi network, you can use the LG remote control.
In the case of LG TVs and phones on different networks, you cannot sync them.
For more information, visit the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and search for “Smartify – LG TV Remote”.
Smartify will appear as an alert upon opening once it has been installed: “Smartify wants to discover & connect to your local network devices.”.
You will then be able to click “OK”.
You should now be able to connect your LG TV and smart phone! With the app, you can control your TV’s channel, volume, etc.

The LG TV should be connected to your router using an Ethernet cable
If your home router/modem is nearby, you can connect your LG TV directly to it using an Ethernet cable.
In order to connect to your LG TV over Ethernet, you need to check if it has a LAN port.
In addition to plugging into your router’s LAN port, you must also plug the cable into your TV.
It should now be possible to connect the LG TV to the internet. Try unplugging and replugging the TV for a few seconds if this does not work.
Once the TV is rebooted, the internet connection should now be visible.
Checking if your LG TV was detected in Smartify – LG TV Remote is how you’ll know if the process was successful.
If it’s possible, it can be connected.
Now you can control your smartphone from anywhere!

The LG remote can be replaced if it is broken or lost

In the event that your LG remote has been lost or damaged, you can still connect your TV to WiFi with a USB mouse.
Once you plug in the USB mouse, your LG TV will detect it, allowing you to enter your password and WiFi network information.
