To resolve this problem, use the AUX button for volume control but not for power.
If the Philips soundbar is in CABLE mode, the volume buttons should work:
Press the TV button once
When the TV button blinks twice, hold the Setup button until it blinks once again
Enter 9 9 3 by pressing the number buttons on the remote control
Two blinks will appear on the TV button
One time pressing and releasing the AUX button
Two times will then be flashed on the AUX button
Turn off your TV speakers or turn them down
Press the CABLE button once
NOTE: (The Philips soundbar won’t be turned off by pressing the power button) By pressing the volume button, you will be able to control the Philips soundbar volume, but not the television volume.
A silver Comcast remote with a red OK/Select button can be used to search for codes:
You need to turn on your Philips soundbar
By pressing Aux once
To activate the Setup key, press and hold it for two seconds
Install the release setup
Please enter 9 9 1 3
Two blinks will be seen on the Aux key
The remote control should be pointed at the Philips soundbar when the power button is pressed
In the sound bar, press CH+ until it turns off
NOTE: IR codes will be sent from the remote control to the selected device in the code search mode.
Once the code has been locked in, press Setup again.
Aux key blinks twice
