In order to make your life more convenient, you can reduce any sequence you regularly use to a single keystroke.
If a macro key has been programmed, it can be accessed through all modes (provided it is accessible through that mode of operation).
Except for the Mode keys and the SHIFT key, you can install macros on any key.
To set up a Macro:
In the order given, follow these three steps.
Make sure you have your TV code ready.
You can find this code on our list of TV brand codes if you cannot find it in your TV’s manual.
- To program the remote to your TV:
The Press TV channel.
Then hold SHIFT until it flashes twice.
Please enter the 4 digit code.
Power up by pressing the power button. Your TV will be programmed if it goes off. If the TV does not turn off after following these steps, try a different code.
- When you are using the Set Top Box (STB) mode, you can adjust the volume of the TV as follows:
The STB button must be pressed.
STB will flash twice if you hold SHIFT.

You turn your TV on and off using your STB and TV. You should not use the DVD right now.
AV switches the inputs on your TV (video 1, video 2, etc.).
Only programmers should use SHIFT and SETUP.
When you press the POWER button, the selected component of your home entertainment system will turn on or off.
Select channels directly with the NUMBER KEY PAD (0-9).
TV sound will be turned off using the MUTE button.
Currently, our system does not support the TV.
Our system currently does not support the VIRTUAL KEYBOARD.
Closed captioning can be turned on and off with CC. There is, however, some variation depending on the television, channel, and programming. TXT may also be labeled on some remotes.
To increase (or decrease) the volume, use VOL+ (or VOL-).
The next highest (or lowest) channel is selected with PROG + or –. Using these buttons will allow you to navigate up and down the channel list.
The program guide can be viewed by using GUIDE. The button may be labelled ACTION on some remote controls.
You can display the settings menu by pressing the orange MENU button once.
Information about current channels and programs can be displayed using INFO.
Press a second time to see more channel detail and the next program.
Use ARROW KEYS (right, left, up and down) to move the cursor in the program guide and menu screens.

The EXIT button can be used in the menu and guide, or whenever you wish to exit a particular function.
Our system does not currently use the RED, GREEN, YELLOW & BLUE buttons.
The PVR (Personal Video Recorder) has the following buttons to control its functions: REWIND, PLAY, PAUSE, FAST FORWARD, and STOP.

The EXIT button can be used in the menu and guide, or whenever you wish to exit a particular function.
Our system does not currently use the RED, GREEN, YELLOW & BLUE buttons.
The PVR (Personal Video Recorder) has the following buttons to control its functions: REWIND, PLAY, PAUSE, FAST FORWARD, and STOP.
It is advisable not to press the TV remote as it may change its settings.
