How to Program time warner remote Control
TV power, volume up or down, and mute functions can be controlled using the time warner remote. Make sure your remote operates optimally by following these instructions.
Before you program the remote control, make sure the TV is turned on. Use the TV Setup Codes list to locate the proper TV brand.
To use time warner universal remote codes, make sure you have hooked up and powered on all devices you wish to set up. Check the battery in your TimeWarner universal remote next. Time Warner has provided a list of universal remote codes you can use. After spending an evening trying to program Charter Spectrum universal remote, nothing is more frustrating than discovering that you forgot to connect your cable or the batteries are dead.

Program time warner remote Control
It is preprogrammed to operate Time Warner, Spectrum receivers, Toshiba DVD players, and Pioneer receivers. The following steps must be followed to control devices other than the default brands.
Step 1
Direct the remote control away from your TV and VCR as well as your digital home communications terminal.
Step 2
By holding down the TV button and select button together, the red LED on the remote will blink twice.
Step 3
Enter the 3 or 4 digit setup code for your television using the remote control keypad. If the LED on the remote is blinking twice, the code is correct. Otherwise, try another setup code, if you have one.
Step 4
You can test the Power, Volume, and Mute functions by pointing the remote control at the TV. The remote control may not work properly for these functions; repeat the steps from Step 1 for the next TV setup code, if necessary.
Remember to press the CBL button on the remote control before adjusting the volume if you want to adjust the volume on your digital home communications terminal instead of your television. If you want the remote control to adjust the volume on your television, press the TV button.
